We have a customer that is setting up a test environment for testing the FRx to MR conversion. They will be installing MR on its own server running at least Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008.
My question is this. Their GP installation is currently running on SQL Server 2005. Looking at the MR 2012 system requirements, under Data Mart database, it states that
"Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or newer is required for the data mart database, system database and the company database for the ERP". So what I am reading is that although SQL Server 2005 is supported for GP2010, if you want to run MR using the data mart, your GP2010 install needs to be running on SQL Server 2005. Is this true?
Thanks
Bill

William Routh,
SQL Server 2005 is support for GP 2010, however if you want to use Management Reporter with using Data Mart, your GP 2010 need to be running on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or later.
Hope this helps!!!
You do need to have SQL server 2008 for sure. As for Dynamics GP, you should have a minimum of Dynamics GP 2010 R2 or 2013
