Custom Workflow is Stuck on "Submit" option. Unable to proceed further.

I have created a custom workflow and I have activated the workflow from the workflow parameter.

When I  create new and click on save, the workflow appears and when I click submit option and submit the workflow, the status gets changed too.

But after Submit, the work flow drop down still shows "SUBMIT" option only and does not move further. I was expecting it to show: 'Cancel' and 'View history'. But it is not showing those.

I have tried debugging and was unable to locate, what the issue was. Can anyone help me, after submitting how do I continue further? Which class should I recheck

    Hi,

Please check if your workflow batches are running.

    How do I check that?

Is it as per the below screenshot?

    Hi RSX,

Check whether batch management service is running.

Also debug the submit manager class where you will be activating the workflow by passing the workflow type name and current table buffer. Submit manager class will be found on the workflow type - Property named "Submit to workflow menu item".

Check whether you have configured your custom workflow with approval process added.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

I know this is old, however, I wanted to put forth a potential root cause based on information provided.

I think the most likely culprit here is your 'canSubmitToWorkflow' method that is on the table that is using workflow.
That method is, most likely, still returning 'true' after you submit to workflow and therefore is only showing the 'Submit' button.
Make sure the logic in that method is returning 'false' after a record has been submitted to workflow.
