Workflow stopped (error)

Hi supporter,

The expense report workflow is experiencing an error. Could you please help me check what the underlying issue is?  Thanks in advance!

    This is the pre-production environment, and we synchronize it with the production environment on a weekly basis. Are you suggesting that performing a full synchronization between these two environments would resolve the issue?

    We recently had two workflows error the same way in our project invoice approval workflow in production. Until yesterday had never seen the issue. It occurred on two different workflows instances submitted by the same user. We recently upgraded to 10.00.33 on August 5th. While we do have an ISV, there are no customizations on this workflow. 

    The system did allow me to resume the workflow, but I am unsure if the user actually received the work item.

    Is this Dev environment?
    If it's a dev environment, can you ask your developer to do a full synchronization.

    Thank you for your prompt reply. There hasn't been any customization done for the expense report workflow. Are there any other potential issues that could be causing this?

    Seems this is due to synchronization issue.
    Is there any customization?
