Integration with Exchange Web Service (EWS)

Hi all,

We have a requirement to integrate CRM 2016 online with Exchange online. Exchange information will be retrieved to be used in CRM appointment form. Is there any connector/ootb integration available? If not, what is the best approach to do this? Any sample code?

Thanks in advance,

David Narbona

    Hi David,

OOTB CRM 2016 online offers exchange integration. You can enable this in settings / email configuration. By default you have an exhange online profile. All you need to do is assigning and enabling mailboxes

I hope this helps you forward

In addition to what Bas said, by default the Exchange configuration doesn't push Appointments over server sync.  So make sure when you configure the Sync that you change that default setting for Appointments from "Outlook plugin" to "Server Sync".

    Hi Bas,

My problem is not mailing but retrieving information available in exchange like available rooms information and the solution I have found to do this is to retrieve this information programatically. Any ideas?

    Many thanks for your time,

    David Narbona

    Hi,

If I understand your requirements correctly, you'd like to cherry-pick integrated components programmatically. I would suggest to to review an article to make sure you can access desired API:

    https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/exchange/2016/09/26/on-premises-architectural-requirements-for-the-rest-api/

And later build automation in CRM (plugin/workflow) to consume Exchange REST API calls:

    I hope this helps,

    Piotr

    Hello

I would like to recommend a CTI solution that offer features such as click to dial, call pop up notification, advanced analytics and much more. You can sign up for 7-day free trial and request for a demo. They support MS Dynamics integration
