Hi:

I know how to use "Select More" to select multiple records.

But, what do you use in Business Central to check all boxes in a column such as "Accept Action Message"?

Thanks!

In Business Central, there isn't a direct "Select All" checkbox in list pages, but you can use keyboard shortcuts or bulk actions to select multiple records efficiently. Here are a few ways to do it:

    1. Use "Select More" and Shift + Click:
      • Click on Select More to enable multiple selection.
      • Click the first record, then hold Shift and click the last record to select all records in between.
    2. Use Ctrl + Click for Specific Rows:
      • Hold Ctrl while clicking individual checkboxes to select multiple non-contiguous records.
    3. Use the "Accept Action Message" Page Action:
      • If "Accept Action Message" is an option in a batch process, check if there's a "Process" or "Apply" button to apply it to all selected records.
    4. Personalization for Default Selection:
      • If you frequently need to select all records, you can explore adding a default filter or personalization to streamline the workflow.

Unfortunately, Business Central does not have a native "Check All" checkbox in lists, so these methods are the best workarounds.

You need to add custom code using CurrPage to do that.SelectionFilter to select the records and then modify the field to true.

To use "Select More" in Business Central to select multiple records, follow these steps:

    1. Open the List Page: Navigate to the list page where you want to select multiple records.
    2. Activate "Select More": Click on the "Select More" action, usually found in the toolbar or by right-clicking on a record.
    3. Select Records: Check the boxes next to the records you want to select. You can also use the Shift key to select a range of records.

For checking all boxes in a column like "Accept Action Message," Business Central doesn't have a built-in feature for this. However, you can achieve it through customization or scripting:

Using AL Code: Create a page extension with a button to check all boxes in the specified column.

Using a Script: Use a JavaScript bookmarklet to automate the process on a list page

These methods should help you efficiently check all the boxes in a column.

Suresh provided a sold answer to your question.

The "Accept Action Message" does not have an "Accept All" type action, so you would need to create one using an Extension.  I would suggest you also create a "Clear Accept Action" function as well, as someone may click "Accept All" by accident and then have to manually uncheck everything again.
