Security Role-User and Team

Hi,

If a user has a security role of System Administrator and he is added to a team which has a security role lower than System Administrator, which one would take preference? System ADmin or the role which he gets through the team?

For example:

I have a User with a security role: System Administrator

He is added to Team A

Team A has security role with Read privileges set to User Level.

So will the user be able to see all records as permitted by System Admin or only his records as permitted by the Team's role he is added to.

    System Administrator.  The roles are cumulative.

    Hi Chandrika,

    As the others have said security role privileges are cumulative.

    Things can be a little more complicated when there is a more complex security model with multiple business units and users from different business units in a team. Then the user has their own privileges plus the privileges of the team as if they were in the teams business unit.

    This only really matters with more restrictive security roles that don't have organisation level access as once you have the System Administrator role you can see everything anyway.

    But worth keeping in mind.
