Hi Expert ,

I have converted my Old V1 Extension using Command .Please check attached document. Follow the below process to create the package file using Visual Studio Code :

    1) Create a new project. For this

  • Ctrl + Shift + P and type >AL: Go and rename the project (DynamicsBC).
  • Go enter and select Microsoft Cloud Sandbox. Now the other window open asking for id and password for authentication (Provided business central cloud Sandbox credentials).
  • HelloWorld.AL file generated by default. Where a default code was found for 'Helo world message'  for Customer List Page.
  • I am little bit confuse in 'Launch.Json' file what need to be changed for me as our extension is modified Customer /Item/SalesOrder/Contact/Ship-to Address/Contact Alt. Address Card pages.
  • I am not clear how to linked Launch.json and *.al files.
  • Added my all converted AL files in this project .
  • Changes value of  "idRanges": [{"from": 33064461,"to": 33064500}] in app.json file.
  • Changes the publisher name 'Insync Tech-Fine Solution Ltd.''
  • Type Ctrl + Shift + B . Package is created.
  • Upload the extension in Dynamics 365 BC cloud.
  • Deploy/installed successfully.
  • When i open customer list page hello world message is showing. When i open a customer there should be showing my customize part(Page21.al) but no customize part showing and no error .
  • Please suggest how to include my Extension AL files in this project  and configured with app.json . So that my extension part will be viewed in Dynamics 365 BC.

RE: Published V2 Extension Online in Dynamics 365 Business Central Cloud Sandbox but not showing our Customize extension part ?

You must create a Permission set before publishing to Production.

So in VS Code, go to Command palette, search for Generate Permission Set. This will create a file called extensionpermissionset.xml. Then build the solution again and you are ready to upload the extension.

    Hi Manish ,

Thanks for your reply. No publish is not working . I am getting error 'Package validation failed due to the following error(s): (1,13): error PTE0004: Table '50101' is missing a matching permission set. - Job Id : 3a20692b-0c53-4710-8029-436dd5fb1e48' in Deploy the  Extension. Please find the attachment for error details . AS per your reply i have try with 50000 range also and added 2 parameters .

        My Client Url : https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/6432c9f1-a5ee-40fa-9d83-53d02609c236

from this url i have set Tenant : 6432c9f1-a5ee-40fa-9d83-53d02609c236

from 2nd image i have set sandboxName : fusiondevmaster.

Added ApplicationArea = All for Pages.

I don't have any idea how to give this permission for range in Business Central.

Did you check that you extension is successfully published.

Go to Extension Management and search for your extension.

For publishing into sanbox try adding in your launch file two more parameter, sandboxName & Tenant.

Second ally the idRanges check this :- docs.microsoft.com/.../devenv-object-ranges, seems those in not in your range.

    50.000-99.999

This range is for per tenant/customer customizations. A partner can develop an extension tailored to the individual tenant to fit the needs. The partner will develop this either by using a sandbox tenant or by obtaining a Docker image of the current release of Dynamics 365 Business Central that matches the version of the tenant. Once the development is done, the extension can be deployed to the individual tenant.

    1.000.000-60.000.000

This is the RSP range which partners that have an ISV solution for on-premise have access to. The partner can choose to use this range for developing extensions that can be used either in Dynamics NAV on-premise or in Dynamics 365 Business Central in the cloud. When used in Dynamics 365 Business Central these extensions are obtained as apps from appsource.microsoft.com.

    70.000.000-74.999.999

Partners can obtain ranges for extension development that runs in Dynamics 365 Business Central in the cloud. This range is only available for extension development and only in Dynamics 365 Business Central. These extensions are obtained as apps from appsource.microsoft.com.

    Hi

Did you include your converted AL files in the extension?

try adding "schemaUpdateMode": "Recreate" in launch.json file.
