Single quote in email address when using Exchange

When emailing from Dynamics GP 2018 R2 using Exchange to an email address with a single quote, we get an error:

Emailing the same document to the same email address using MAPI works just fine.

Is this a known issue? Is there any workaround for Exchange?

I guess I've never seen this issue, though I don't know how many email addresses we've seen with single quotes in the address.

If the same reports email via Exchange for all other email addresses that don't have a single quote in them, but only this email address gets the error, then most likely it may be an issue with either how Dynamics GP or Exchange handles email addresses with single quotes in them.

Maybe someone else in the Community has had experience with this issue?
