Is there any chance that the field length in the Description section of the payables entry can can be increased? Or alternatively are there any sections that can be used?

The Description field on the Payables window cannot be increased absent a customization that would involve a lot of work (IMHO). That said, you could use the DUOS table (it has 133 chrs available) and VBA to expand the description, but the description wouldn't automatically show all of the characters without significant customization. My question is, where do you want to see the Description after the Payables transaction is posted? Are you just looking to see the extended description in the Payables Inquiry window? We could do better if we knew what you need the extra description field to show up.
