Cannot End Production order for AX 2012 R2

Dear all,

We want to End Production order, but we cannot end Production order.

So we decide reset status and re-post Picking list and Route card journal.

However, we received the error message when I tried to reset status.

"Account number for transaction type Production, picking list does not exist"

We checked on the system,

For some reason there are no Ledger account of Production, picking list in the voucher transaction of Production posting when user posted in the past. (We had already done the setup Ledger account for Production in Item group setup)

We would like to end or reset status of this Production order but we cannot.

Could you please suggest us the solution for this case?

Good morning HOA,

Please check the following form to ensure all of your accounts have been setup correctly:

Inventory/Setup/Posting/Posting

In this form there is a production tab and inside of this tab there is a section for posting picking list transactions.

This is the place where an account might be missing.

I checked the following you mention form, and we have already setup Picking list issue Main account for Item group which item selected in Production order.

Hi HOA,

The question is whether all of your parts belong to this item group.

Can you test using a setup that applies to ALL transactions?

Dear Ludwig,

I tried setup applied to ALL transaction but it still error.

I think some reason when user posted Picking list data, the ledger account was not posted with the value on Posting setup.

So when I try reset status or end Production order, it cannot reverse Material consumption transaction.

Please advice me to resolve it.

Hi HOA,

Please test in a demo/test environment whether the posting works at all.

You can do this by setting all production related posting settings in the inventory posting matrix to ALL.

If this still results in an error then there must be something else that is responsible for that and I would recommend consulting a developer who can debug this issue for you.
