Upgrade from GP10 to GP2013

I will be installing GP 2013 on a new server. GP10 has the latest patch level. Do I install GP2013 first then restore the DB from my old server or restore the DB first and then install GP2013. I do know I must run DB maintenance after I install GP2013.

    First confirm your GP 10 current version(should be 10.00.1779 or later) is applicable for upgrading to GP 2013.

    Please have a look on the below link.

    Either you can install GP 2013 on new server before or after restoring the old version database. It won't make any problem, but before running the GP 2013 utilities make sure you have restored your database and run all the script mentioned from below link.

    Restore the DBs first and then install GP2013. I came across some issues when I installed the software before the databases.
