Anyone else using AX 2012 for a non-manufacturing business?

Hello everyone, we are using AX 2012 R3. Is there anyone else in this forum that is using AX with a non-manufacturing business? I was hoping to find some people that would be willing share stories, advice, and just general info of life with AX in a non-manufacturing implementation.

Thanks!

    Hi Ryan,

I do think about 60-90% is not using manufacturing. So a lot of experiences. Your question is too broad. Can you ask specific questions which can be answered on a forum? What are you exactly looking for?

We just had the Summit EMEA AX User Group meeting in Amsterdam beginning of April, where such customer stories and experiences were shared.

The AXUG is exactly the place for exchanging such experiences between Customers and Partners as well, take a look at there too:

Also it is really common to go to Microsoft, and ask for reference visits with other Dynamics AX customers and many of them are willing to share their vision and experience, my employer is one of them, residing in London.

If you have specific questions about the product and functionality, you may ask here in the Community.

I have searched the forums here and at the AXUG, but I have only come across discussions and answers that are related to a manufacturing business.  Anyone else use AX 2012 for a distribution/retail business?

Maybe you are just mixing up the terminology, when we mean a Production AX, that means a Live environment that you are using "for real", producing invoices and such.

If you have specific functionality-related questions, please make separate threads for them, since someone trying to come here looking for answers for using AX 2012 for non-manufacturing business might not be interested in Master scheduling with Safety stock.
