Hi,

Which setting we should select in the CRM mailbox for incoming email when a user wants to use the dynamics 365 app for outlook but not automatically track email in CRM? Is server side sync required when using the app?

Users want to be able to choose which emails should be tracked in CRM.

Please advise

I don't think this is correct. When I set the incoming email server profile to NONE it will not connect to the app at all; user will not be in the egligable app user list, and be presented with an error when loading the app.

If I select NONE for incoming email in the mailbox of the user and select server-side sync as email processing for the organization. Can the user track email manually via the dynamics 365 app for outlook?

You can set the synchronization method for individual mailboxes    Go to Settings > Email Configuration, Click Mailboxes > select a mailbox.

Select the option NONE - if you don't want to track emails automatically.

However, Server side sync needs to be enabled for the organization in order to configure App for Outlook.

    Thanks,

    Shahid
