Add cases to expired Entitlements

Hello All,

We have a requirement where the users need to be able to add cases to an entitlement even after it is expired. When ever the users try to do this it throws an error:

Is there any way around this?

Thanks in advance.

Could you not also set the "Restrict based on entitlement terms" to No?

No you would need to extend it. This is core functionality that I would suggest to stay away from making to many changes around

Can there be a checkbox on the entitlement which can delay the entitlement to expire for example only expire if the checkbox is checked instead of the end date?

I am afraid not. You are using OOB functionality so we are restricted by framework.

We were thinking of the same solution but instead of maintaining a new field, is there any other work around?

Extending the entitlement doesnt work (cannot save the entitlement after extending the date).

I dont think we have supported work around. However,

If case is getting associated with entitlement then that means the entitlement is not expired.

Are you using entitlement end date in some other context as well? If yes then you can create a new field on entitlement say "Entitlement Validity Date" and store the end date here but keep the entitlement end date as some large value so that you will be able to keep associating the case  to it and entitlement never expires.

    Hi

You will either need to extend the expired entitlement or create a new one, You cannot retrospectively add one
