I am working with an end user on AX 2009. One of the team members asked me about a simple report request. It was pretty basic so I should them how to use the advanced filter on my client, save it as a cue, and add it to my role center home page. When we went back to his desk and tried it we got this message.
"Unable to add selected web part(s).
Cues: A Web Part or Web Form Control on this Page cannot be displayed or imported. You don't have Add and Customize Pages permissions required to perform this action."
I did some searching online and I found a post that suggested the user needed permissions under the Basic tree node. Such as CuesQuery, CueQuerySecurity, and Miscellaneous > CueRun. I checked the user and he already had all of those though.
I searched around the AOT with the Find tool and did some searching in the Label editor; nothing.
Finally, I went to the Enterprise Portal SharePoint site. It looks like all of our domain users are at "Contribute". Am I on the right track here?
- Should our domain users be set to "Design"?
- Will that allow my end users to add cues and customize their own role centers?
- Are there any glaring risks to this?
Thanks in advance.
