Hello,
I am going to be changing 2 users who use gp 10 over to new computers. One has a desktop and the other is connected to a terminal server. My question is it possible to move all their settings and files over to the new systems without them having much downtime? Are there any files that I should copy over after I install gp on the new systems. Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you much,
Joey

It all depends on what their settings are.
Any settings in the database, of course, will still be there.
If the desktop user has local copies of modified reports and forms, those need to be copied to the new workstation. Of course, make sure the new machine is updated with the same service pack.
The terminal server user should not be affected just because his workstation is changing.
For future workstation installations, it would be in your interest to create a workstation installation package.
Also, if you're setting up the new desktop while the user has the old one, then there shouldn't be any down time except for the process of switching hardware.
