Upgrade Development SQL License to Developer Edition

We have a CRM deployment on premise 2013 we are looking to upgrade our CRM Development Server to ‘SQL Developer Edition 2014’ (but we don’t want to upgrade PROD/DR to developer edition). Right now both DEV and PROD are in SQL Standard Edition 2014.

Can some advise if this is a good practise or both should stay on standard edition 2014

    Hi

If you are using them as testing and DR then I would suggest that they are identical, The last thing you want is to be in a DR situation and find that there are issues with versioning and service packs on SQL versions
