MS CRM Data Purging And Retention

Hi All,

I have requirement where i need to purge the data for some of the entities which have millions of the data for ex: 2 years old data but provide the facility of data retention as well, suppose if customer want to see there 2 years old data they can see it through CRM same is applicable for reports as well( there are 40-50 Custom SSRS reports already developed).

Please let me know if anyone have implemented above in their any of the projects or provide some guidance on the same.

I found that data purging will be done through OOB Bulk delete jobs but there is no OOB way to reten that data, we need to do some some high level customization for the same.
