"Settings -> Customize the System" no longer working.

It has been working fine until today (this morning), where the popup window now shows an error message: "Try this action again. If the problem continues, check the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Community for solutions or contact your organization's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Administrator. Finally, you can contact Microsoft Support."

To me, "Customize the System" is a core feature of Dynamics 365, and I've been using it lately to manage Web Resources.

For this feature to suddenly not be working seems like there is a big problem with Dynamics 365 core somewhere, out of my control to troubleshooting/resolve?  Our Dynamics administrators are unavailable at this time, but even if they were, what could they do to troubleshoot/resolve this issue?  I've read about "Repair install" option, but that sounds like quick inefficient way of resolving the issue -- if it's going to remove all the customizations we've done.

    Hi Ryan,

some cases should be handled by Microsoft Support - this is probably one of them, especially since you have specified CRM Online. I don't think there is a lot your admins would be able to do with this even if they were around.

Try using different Browsers and see if anything changes?

    Hi Ryan,

Thomas is correct, you will likely want to rule out this being temporary issue compounded by a browser caching issue. I would try all or some combination of the following.

    1. Try an Incognito/InPrivate/Private version of your main browser and see if the error message persists

    2. Try a different web browser if you are in IE try Chrome and vice versa

    3. Try a hard refresh from the server by pressing CTRL + F5

If the error persists after trying all of these, I would recommend submitting a ticket to Microsoft Support as the hosting and availability of this application is provided by them.

    Sincerely,

In my case, opening in an Incognito window resolved the issue.  Thanks all.
