Calculate Counting Period function in Phys. Inventory Journals - How to pick up missing items?

Hi Everyone, 

Our venue are using Calculate Counting Period function to generate the Stock Take list.

Recently, we found some items are missed when we using this function.

For example, the below item has a weekly stock take frequency, but it was never picked up by the Calculate Counting Period function.

I guess it is because there is nothing updated in the "Last Counting Period Update". 

But if I use the "Calculate Inventory" function with correct filter, the item will be picked up.

Could you please help me to understand what is the cause of this issue and how to fix it?

    That's strange. What happens if you press the "Calculate Counting Period" action from the ribbon on this Item card again? Does it still not populate the Last Counting Period Update field? By default, when you set a value in the Phys Invt Counting Period field, it should set the Next Counting Start Date and the Next Counting End Date fields based on the frequency in the Phys Invt Counting Period field.

    Then, running the Calculate Counting Period function from the ribbon should reset it with today's date the Last Counting Period Update (unless you have actually done one count in the past), and then reset it for the next counting start and end date.

    It is very strange. We tried a couple of times and the items with blank "Last Counting Period Update" still do not pop up on the list.

    Do you think we should use the "Calculate Inventory" function to run stock take once for all the items so that we can reset all the "Last Counting Period Update" fields?
