msdyncrm_mktactivityBase 6GB in 4 months!?

Hi,

We started a marketing project  4 months ago. The database got really quickly huge, but we didnt know why.

Now, I finally took the time to check it out, and it seems that the table msdyncrm_mktactivityBase is 6 gb big allready and keeps growing FAST.

What is the proper way to fix this? I read about using the latest release of marketing (isnt that automatic?). And to start a bulk cleanup job. The thing is, I am not confident enough to run a random delete job in production.

Can i simply create a bulk delete job for table marketingactivity (msdyncrm_mktactivity) with everything older than 2 months for example? What are those records used for? What will it break to delete those records?

Cheers

    Hi,

I believe once you update to the latest marketing version, a bulk delete job will be created.

If not, please open a service request as it needs to be investigated.
