GP 2010 Upgrade Oddity Question

Here is a question that I have been meaning to ask for a long time. Let's say you have GP 2010 11.00.1247 up and running and you apply service pack 3 to bring it up to 11.00.2044. In the GP 2010 folder you now find a subfolder call Version11.0.1269.0Backup. I know why that folder is there and what it contains, but from where does the number 1269 come? Can someone at Microsoft chime in on this one?
