Quote Look Up Address Function Question

Hello,

I have a question regarding the quote form Look Up Address function. When a a user selects this function, clicks the Ship To Address checkbox, selects an address, and then clicks OK, the quote Shipping Method and Freight Terms field values are removed. The user then has to re-enter the Shipping Method and Freight Terms values. I don't have business rules or java script in the quote form that would affect these fields.  This issue appears to have started when our Dynamics CRM instances were upgraded to 2016 Update 1. Any ideas on how I can correct this issue, or is it a function change on Microsoft's part?

    I have also observed this behavior on Orders in CRM 2016 (8.0.1.79). The workaround was to make those fields Business Required, which forces the user to reselect the correct options before the record is saved again. You may want to also set a default selection for those options, so that they will have values when the user first creates the document.

    That is strange, I just testing that out myself and had the same results.

    My quick answer is that you could create a workflow that will run on the quote save that will re-populate these fields if they are blank from the parent customer, you would have to ensure these fields are set on the account/contact first.
