Certificate Authentication for Mobile apps

Posted on by 5

I can’t connect to the server by multi-factor authentication based on certificates through the ADFS. The problem is only on the mobile device.  It doesn’t matter if it’s Android or iOS. It works correctly in Safari, after entering the password it asks the certificate.  Redirect on-site, all ok.

On mobile devices (iPhone or Android phones)  we can use Safari or Chrome to choose the Workplace Join certificate and authenticate successfully.

But the mobile client does not request a certificate and immediately returns an error -  no certificate available.

I need information on how to configure multi-factor authentication on the iOS mobile client with a certificate by ADFS.

Using Dynamics CRM 365 on-premise with ADFS 4.0 on Server 2016
