Hi,

I'm trying to record a bill and I get this message "This item cannot be billed because it exceeds the forecast billing amount for the cost category ." even tough I made a change order to increase it in the budget.

I tried even to allow exceed project billing  option still couldn't record the bill.

Please advise.

Regards,

What kind transaction type is your cost category?

Did you select Exceed Total Budget Revenue/Profit in the Timesheet Setup Options window, Employee Expense Setup Options window, Equipment Log Setup Options window, inventory transfer setup Options window, or Miscellaneous Log Setup Options window.

Please select Microsoft Dynamics GP menu > Tools > Setup > Project > Timesheet or other type, click options to check if Exceed Total Budget Revenue/Profit is selected.

    Hi,

Thank you for your suggestions I fixed the issue by extending the date of the cost category in the bugdet.

    Hello,

We're having this exact same issue. I went to the setups as you suggested and made sure the "Exceed Total Budget" etc boxes were checked. Then I verified that the billing fell well within the dates of the Cost Codes on the Budget.

However, I still receive the "exceeds forecast amount" error. If you have any other suggestions, I would be grateful.
