Return Code 18 - While Asset Retirement

In Dynamics GP 10, when we go to retire an asset it give us error Return code 18 (Not found) on file FA_General_Information_MSTR while attempting a change operation. Asset Index: 9

do anyone know how to resolve this error?

Hi,

'First of all i asset record is OK because i have restored databases on test machine and it is working ok'

Does the above mean that when you retire the asset in the test compny, you do not get the error message?

No one was updating assets or running projection or depriciation
we have entered data didn't import any thing

Tough one. Can mean that a record is missing. Can you compare the assets record in MSSQL with another asset?

Was anyone playing around in SQL - updating assets or anything?

How did you get your assets in in the first place - ie table import or something...or was the asset set up manually?
