Does plugin triggered when new record is created using import ?

I have one custom entity ex. EntityA. I have implemented plugin that triggered on creation of Entity A record.

Is this triggered when I imported data using excel to EntityA ?

Actually there was a problem in product unit of measurement. It was wrong uom for specific product which has mentioned in excel template so I did not know plugin is triggered or not .

As Guido said - it's always triggered. Check also if it's not async and fails to execute. Please give some info about how plugin is registered, what it does, and does it work from UI

I am not checking context.depth in plugin code but still not triggered.
