Lock Fields in Business Process Flow

If the fields are read only in the form by default, it should also be  read-only in Business Process Flow.

but in my case, I have custom Entity 'COO'. there is one read-only Field by default. but user can edit its value through BPF manually. In ideal scenario, its value should be updated through a workflow not manual.

that is creating conflict.

what can be the solution for this one?

    Hi,

    You can lock fields in the BPF using a business rule if you do not want to go through writing scripts.

    A simle business rule like this will lock the field in the BPF and on the form.

    Hi,

    This works for me on 8.1.0.369 online.

    Did you set the scope right?

    Hi, then add something like below on the onLoad:

    function lockField() {
        if (Xrm.Page.getControl("header_process_YOUR_FIELD") != null) {
            Xrm.Page.getControl("header_process_YOUR_FIELD").setDisabled(true);

        };
    };

    I have tried this too, but no change in behavior.

    That is odd. Could you paste your script?

    Thanks Tom. It is working now, with above same script.
