My question is this: if I have entities (tables) A, B, C, and D, and A is the parent of B and C. and C is the parent of D. With 1:N relationship between parent and child. Can I make a lookup field in D's form that is populated with the relevant Data from B?

Hi,

you want to create a lookup field in D where target entity is B ... so you can do it and data you need you can fetch it by javascript or plugin ... which will be helpful to you ... as per your need ....

When a lookup field is created, a 1:N relationship would be created for it, in the background. If you are trying to show only relevant information in the lookup, try to use the field properties window to filter out the data you would like to show, or use javascript, if the filtering is something that you cannot achieve using the field properties. I am assuming the lookup field needs to be placed on the form, in your case.

Because then D would just pull all the lines from B not just the relevant data.
