Integration Manager for GP 2018

I would like to know the following about Integration Manager for GP 2018.

1.  What are the various versions of Integration Manager for the GP 2018.  There are 4 full releases of GP 2018 1. RTM 18.00.0400  2. GP 2018 R2 18.00.0628  3.  MDGP 18.2.1013  4.   GP Fall 2020 18.3.1173.   Each of these has an IM folder under the AdProd folder.  The 3 later releases show an update file with KB1234567.  I don't know how to tell the actual version without installing each of them.  I can do that if I have to but I thought I would try to save time and just ask the question and try to get an answer from Microsoft.

2.  Are the versions of IM in the releases other than RTM, full installs or are they hot fixes that can be applied to an existing GP 2018 IM install?  I am trying to determine if I need to upgrade Integration Manager when I apply the latest install of GP 2018 to a client.  If so, do I need to Convert the database as I have had to do previously when doing a full version upgrade in GP.  Or, can I just apply a hotfix to the existing IM install?  Or, do I need to uninstall IM and then reinstall a new version?

Thanks for any help that anyone can provide, but I would really like to get an answer from Microsoft.   It seems like they should document this somewhere.   I thought it might be in the Upgrade.pdf so I tried looking in there.  That file doesn't seem to exist any longer.  It used to be clear what was required when we upgraded from GP 2015 to GP 2016.  We knew we were doing full version upgrades and everything had to be upgraded.  Now that everything is GP 2018 or just GP, it isn't so clear.

Integration Manager for GP 2018 (18.0), 18.2 and 18.3 are pretty much the same thing. I don't see any service packs for Integration Manager at the 18.xx version, so if you had IM installed at 18.0 and upgraded to 18.2 or 18.3, most likely you'd be fine leaving IM as is, especially if the 'Updates' folder for Integration Manager, under the AdProd folder in the GP DVD you're installing from, has the exact same MSP file, the version/build is not going to change.

The versions of IM in the DVD media are full installs, the MSP file in the Updates folder under AdProd > IntMgr would be the service pack/patch applied to it and that is just a patch, not a full install.

If you're upgrading from GP 2015 or GP 2016, to GP 18.0/18.2/18.3, then yes, uninstall IM, and reinstall it from the GP 18.x media you used to upgrade Dynamics GP. Once you launch IM against your IM database, it will 'upgrade' it, so to speak.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

    Thanks
