Hi all,

I have a requirement from my customer. I need to integrate MS CRM 4.0 with a fax Server in order to obtain the creation of a fax activity every time a fax is received.

Anyone know if is it possible to satisfy this requirement?

thanks in advance

Massimo

    Hi,

Is your fax server Microsoft Fax Server? Or third party a software?

    Hi,

My customer dont have any fax server and I have to propose one to him. I had thought to Microsoft Fax Server but this is not a constraint therefore third party software can also be a solution. Have you experience with Microsoft Fax Server?

    thanks for your reply

I have been developed a solution for integration between faxmaker.com and Dynamics CRM. I didn't use Microsoft Fax Server.
When my customer want sent a fax, they create a fax activity (they can add attachment file if they want). My windows service is looking periodically the faxes, if it found a waiting fax, it send mail to faxmaker.com account. (My customer have an account on faxmaker.com that like <telephonenumber>@faxmaker.com.)

    thanks a lot, Baris!!

My first requirement is to manage incoming faxes within MS Dynamics CRM 4. A new fax activity have to be created anytime a fax is received and the fax document have to be atached to the activity. Does your solution work also in this scenario?

No, Because the customer didn't want this (they are following incoming faxes with manually. Because they read and categorized the faxes for departments) So I didn't develop this side of solution.
If you want using faxmaker.com or faxmaker.com style an fax service, I can contunie to develop this side of solution.

I am also trying to integrate GFI FaxMaker into CRM. Can you please explain a little bit in detail ?

    Thanks.

Faxmaker delivers the FAX to an email adress. You can associate this e-mail to a CRM queue. Then with the workflow, you can create a new  Activity when you receive something in the CRM Queue.

I hope this will help you.
