
Hello all,
I am trying to get these project budget reports to show monthly variance between budget and actuals. For some reason it will only show me a cumulative year to day. Is there a way to only see the monthly actuals and variance pre built into these reports? Specifically project task analysis, budget reports and project recap reports?

I have the same question (0)You probably already checked out the Enable Budget History option in project setup.
This option means that SL will start to populate the PJBHSSUM and PJBHSROL. These two tables record the budget as was known up to each period. Sadly, they are not consumed by any report whatsoever, they are provided as a DIY tool for by-period budget reporting.
As for the actuals, a big part of the reports are either project-to-date or year-to-date based, but there are some with month-to-date values. Check the PAPSI00 Project Summary Inquiry. If you did populate a monthly budget, it should give you the month-to-date variance.
