Every day when I launch SmartList for the first time I get the following message.
SmartList Builder has detected changes need to be made. Do you want to make these changes now?
I have clicked Yes and I still get same message the next day.

Are you saying that once the user logs in as administrator the SmartList update will run and then no longer generate the message? I don't have a means to test this but after it runs successfully shouldn't everybody be able to launch GP as themselves and skip having to run as administrator?
As an aside, if we need to run as administrator, you can make it happen every time it launches. You would need to modify the Properties of the menu item. Open the properties window, click on the Advanced button and check the box that reads 'Run as Administrator'.
