May be the best option is to use product receipt journals, it allows you to specify what items, quantities are you receiving, including what inventory dimensions, warehouse, product batch.. without modifiying the purchase order, and it also allows you to post the packing slip from the journal

You asked for making a receipt products from a different warehouse and I told you how, know you're asking for modifiying the warehouse in the purchase order wich is different from the original question, why don't you just modify the warehouse in the purchase order?, I'm missing something?

When you say you're unable to change, what does it means?, is the warehouse field not editable in the journal line?, or when you change it an error ocurs?, if you don't provide more information I can't help you
Go to the registration form and book it into the warehouse where you want to receive it, the posted product receipt will say the original purchase line but the stock will be in the one you registered it into.
If you're using the hand held functionality in the Warehouse management module in R3, you can allow users to receive into a different warehouse (within the same site):
