Reporting on Status Reason change

Hi,
 
Just wondering, is it possible to report on when a Status Reason changed on an Opportunity, and also if its possible to show the previous Status Reason.
For example, a Status Reason changes from 'New' to 'In Process'. How can I find out (apart from checking the Audit Log) when the Status Reason changed and also what Status Reason it changed from?

    Hi Ted,
    If you don't want to use audit log, you need do some customizations:
    1) Create one field on opportunity to store these information, use workflow to update this field when status change.
    2) Create one custom entity to store these changes, use workflow to create new records for this entity when opportunity status change.
