Should the DYNSA user be listed as user under company db > security > users

In sql when I look at the users of a company db via security > users I don’t see the dynsa user listed. If the dynsa user is the dbo of the db shouldn’t it be listed?  When I look at server login > user mapping  dynsa is listed and when I click on a company db it shows the dynsa as dbo owner of that company.  But dynsa is not listed when you go to the company db security > users.  Normally when you create a login and under user mapping check off a company db then go to the db and look under security > users you see the user listed.

Sometimes reinventing the wheel is not quite efficient, take a look at Mr. Mariano Gomez post on DYNSA

I read his great post and actually ran the script.  But the dynsa is not listed as a user in the company databases when you look at the users in each company db.  When I create a test user login and check off a database via user mapping,  that user will show up when you look at the database users. The dynsa is not showing as a user in the company dbs.

That's a database concept, the dbo user can not be deleted and is always present in every database. As for Dynamics GP, the DYNSA user is the owner of all GP SQL database. Any GP SQL database will have the DYNSA user under the properties, owner section.

To check that, go to any GP SQL database, right click on the company name (including DYNAMICS DB), and go to "Properties" > Files > Owner

    Hope this helps,

That's exactly what I see.  Could have sworn I saw the dynsa listed under users before...

    Thanks!

All is well.  when user is owner, double click the dbo user under database security  you will see DYNSA.

DYNSA will be still listed under SQL Security folders!

    Cheers
