    Hi,

For Enabling SSL on Test you can refer below post -

    NAV 2013 - http://saurav-nav.blogspot.in/2012/12/nav-2013-credential-type-how-to-use.html

The Post have also links for NAV 2013 R2 and 2016 (as Process is becoming simple with all new versions).

SSL Certificate for test can be qualified and Non Qualified, Discussed Here -

    Non Qualified -

    http://saurav-nav.blogspot.in/2014/09/nav-2013-nav-2013-r2-web-services-with.html

    Qualified -

For Production, Refer Microsoft Article where you purchase a SSL Certificate From a Authority and then configure it.
