CRM online "reopen" email activity

 I have a need to reopen the state so that I can change the regardingobjectid of an email activity which state is "Completed" and  Status Reason is "Sent". After reopen the email activity & change the  regardingobjectid value, I set back the state as "Completed" and status reason as "Sent".

When I reopen the email activity, the senton date was modified by the system as well, is it possible for me to prevent the system from modify this senton date in code?
