Dear
The closing for the fixed assets module was done by mistake; is there any routine than run to Undo the closing ?

Hi Patrick,
Unfortunately, Dynamics GP does not have a Routine to reopen Fixed Asset year. If this is a case where it might have been closed twice in a row you would want to make sure that no depreciation was posted to the latest open year. If no depreciation has been posted you can update the FA40200 table. As you already note this is an unsupported method.
Please let me know if I can provide any additional guidance on this issue!

"If you catch the fact that you closed 2 years instead of 1 before you have tried to depreciate anything, you can go into the table and change the current year using SQL. I was amazed to find out it was that easy." - Leslie
if you have not Depreciated all assets through the last day of the current fiscal year and not performed the GL Posting (GL Interface) process you should be able to change the current year.
Cheers!
i have run a fixed asset closing and the only field that i noticed updated is in table FA40200 field is CURFISCALYR
if i update this field back one year will this be enough?
note: i realize that the Microsoft doesn't recommend doing this from SQL but we don't have a backup option
appreciate your feedback
