receipt with Barcode

HI All,

How do we scan the receipt with Barcode scanner? I have added the barcode filed in receipt but it only shows numbers like this. How do you configure it so it can be scanned? Anyone ?

Hi Rutvik,

Is this a report from Dynamics 365 F&O or is this a receipt from POS? Can you also inform us how you attempted to get the barcode added?

I added the barcode field from the Receipt designer. This is a sales receipt from POS

I have moved the question to the Dynamics 365 Commerce forum.

Can you tell if it worked before or is it a complete new design? Do you have other designs (e.g. from demo) where it is working correctly?

Hi Andre,

Thank you for that.

It has never worked. I have also configured it in Demo environment but same result. I added the field to the existing design in the footer section of the receipt.

Hi Rutvik,

You have indeed the same issue as outlined in the blog. Are you on the latest version of Dynamics 365? I couldn't find a recent related issue on LCS Issue search.

I would suggest to create a ticket for Microsoft Support.

there could be many of criteria related to the printing of barcode. Please create a support ticket to us to investigate your scenario.

It always looks like that in the preview, once it's printed by OPOS printer or even perhaps as and PDF, it usually prints out the barcode.

Correction: Perhaps not as PDF - it depends on what is printing out the barcode.
