Remove discontinued items at EOY

Hi All,

After EOY process, I noticed not all of the discontinued items are removed. I have checked the ones that are still in the system in open transactions (field service, SOP10200, IV10001, IV0002) and QTY on hand but couldnt find any of them. Is there anything else that could stop these items from being deleted by EOY process?

Thanks,

Thanks Leslie. I think that is the problem. How often should we run this routine?

That means the POs are not in History, the POP10100 table is a Work file. You need to run Remove Completed Purchase Orders located in Purchasing Routines.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

The POs are in POP10100 with POSTATUS 5

When looking at the POs, are all of the POs in History? It can be closed and still be in the Open file. Do you have the item on a closed PO that is still in the Open file?

    SLIU,

I walked the source code to pull these conditions out.  Something is TRUE that is rejecting. If you can't identify the source, recommend opening a support case and working with an engineer on identifying the cause of the issue.

Probably would be best to send in a backup prior to your closing and then some of the items in questioned could be stepped through to determine why they are not getting removed.

    Thanks!

    Hi Aaron,

    Thanks for the reply.

I picked a few items and went through all the points however none of them applies.

Any other reasons you can think of? Is there some script that I can run to easily identify the cause?

    Thanks,

    SLIU,

these are the bases that would keep the item from being removed:

    1. It is currently used as a subsitute item number

    2. Any of the following qty fields for the item contain a value

    QTY On Hand

    QTY Allocated

    QTY Committed

    QTY On Order

    QTY Back Ordered

    QTY Requisitioned

    QTY In Use

    QTY In Service

    QTY Returned

    QTY Damaged

    3. If the item is part of any BOM component

    4. Item is on a stock count in process

    5. If MFG is loaded, it will also play a part on whether to remove the item

    6. Item is on a PO Line that is not closed.

So..the item isn't being removed because one of the following conditions is TRUE and aborting the removal code from running.

    Thanks!
