Permission to save file on SharePoint from CRM

Hi,

I am having issue while trying to add document to SharePoint in opportunity record

"You don't have permissions to view files in this location. Contact your Microsoft Teams owner or SharePoint administrator for access."

Can someone please tell me which permission is needed?

Hi Davor,

Please check if you have SharePoint Document Location permissions: Read, Write.

Hi,

You need to be a member of the connected team channel to view files. Contact the owner of the connected team channel, and request to be added as a member. You need to determine the location of the document to which you need permission.

I have same the same error "You don't have permissions to view files in this location. Contact your Microsoft Teams owner or SharePoint administrator for access." and have checked the Security Roles: Sales and it is the default settings.

I went on to the to the Open Location which brings me to the Default Location in SharePoint and I get this

I got through this to the SharePoint Default Location if I provide SharePoint access to this particular person (Salesperson). However, that also means providing the person will have access to all files in that Default Location and not according to the Access Restriction according to the Opportunity record.

In summary, we are not able to restrict access Files access according to the record's permission in Dynamics 365?

You can retroactively change the permissions using a Power Automate flow. Unfortunately, MS hasn't gone as far as to provide that capability out of the box.
