Currency rounding issues

Hi All ,

As we all know that currency is shared table in Ax .

I have issue with Rounding Options.

General ledger>  Setup >  Currency > Currencies.

Select a currency. In the Rounding Rules section, Round the sums according to a fixed unit, for general transaction amounts. For example, amounts on transactions are rounded to the nearest unit to 0.01. Specify the general unit for rounding in the General round-off field.

Also, Round sums for Sales orders, Purchase orders, and Prices

Client is using Ax 2012 R2 in many companies and need to have the rounding options specific to company , but I do not have the rounding options form company wise as if we define the rules in currency form that are applicable to all companies.
How to define the company wise rounding values for General round-off , Sales orders, Purchase orders, and Prices ?
Some companies required more than 3 decimals for amounts , then how to handle that scenario in Ax 2012 R2 ?

Refer msdax12.blogspot.com/.../font-definitions-font-face-font.html and community.dynamics.com/.../42031.  Technically it is possible to change the amount field to have three decimal, however, I will not recommend this.  It will create multiple issues.  Refer the above threads which will provide more insights

Thanks Ram for the reply ,

But the point is it  should applicable to few countries only , not for all the countries . In Ax 2012 currency form and rounding rules are shared to across all organizations .

In this case how to achieve that requirement like some companies will have 2 decimals of Qty ,Price and for rest of the companies should have more than 2 decimals ?

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Lally, If all the legal entities are in the single instance, then change is applicable to all the entities. It is not possible to make the change only for limited legal entities which are in single instance

Thanks Ram for the reply ,

MS promotes Ax like Tier I ERP and can be implemented to large companies ,but some basic and common requirements it self not able to resolve , where as other ERP products has out of box functionality .

When it comes to query companies will use the one instance only as they have the regular inter company PO/SO and finance transactions between companies .

How to resolve the above issue in Ax 2012 R2 ?
