Lead Scoring Model not capturing Email Open Trigger

Hi All,

I am creating a Lead Scoring Model which is using a Customer Journey with some conditions. In the Lead Scoring model i have used a basic trigger Email Open and want to capture a score based on this trigger but lets say i have recieved an email and i open the mail from Outlook by double clicking it(considering that this is the desired action as per the trigger) still it doesnt score's this action, rather when i click on "View in Browser" Link from the page only then it score's the action.

Can anyone shed some light on this. Kindly do not send me microsoft's link on how to design Lead Scoring model i have referred it already. I want to know why the Email open trigger is not scored.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Would you please attach a screenshot of the condition in your model?

I assume that you selected the "Email clicked" instead of the "Email opened" in the Entity option.

The former one will track and score the interaction of clicking links in email and the latter one will track and score the interaction of opening an email.

    Hi Nya,

    Thanks for your prompt response!!

We are using "Email Opened" Entity not "Email Clicked" still it doesn't work the way it should work.

I am attaching screenshot with this response kindly check and let me know.

    Regards,

    Dhawal J.

    Hi Dhawal,

Am I correct in understanding the following:

    1. There are two conditions in your model, "Email Opened" in the first condition and "Email Clicked" in the second one.
    2. When you try to open the email by double-clicking it, the first condition cannot be triggered.
    3. When you clicked a link in the email, the second condition can be triggered.

I'd also like to confirm after you double clicked the email and clicked the link, what are the scores for the lead?
