Hi Guys
I have an issue with an LS Retail POS installation for Navision. The POS runs perfectly while logged into the network. They hav.e configured it to be a hybrid system to allow for poor connectivity failover when the network dies. It's supposed to connect to the back office PC which has an instance of Nav installed when the network falls over But when the internet connection falls over the POS dies and is unable to connect to the back office. It seems to fail on authentification. It won't connect and fails on the auth. this means that if the network falls over the POS machine fails and they have to go manual. This is a huge problem as they should in fact be able to work in an Offline mode, but it does not. Any idea what I can check to see why this is happening. The POS guys say its a network issue, the Network guys are saying its a DB SQL issue and they all fighting with each other. I know from past installations that the POS should connect to the back-office and that way will always be available . or is this installation incorrect. Can you guys suggest anything as I now have 3 sites doing the same thing now. I have run wire shark to test and everything seems to be ok. the POS's are not able to work offline.
Regards
I would be in touch with your 3rd party vendor / partner that should file a request for support to LS Retail team. They should be accountable to troubleshoot this issue or provide guidance about this scenario.
