Logic to Capture Work Hours of a Resource in Dynamics 365

Hi All,

I'm working on creating a report based on dynamics to identify the resources who are available for booking? I have a requirement to exclude the non-working employees from the report. Does anyone know what are the entities/logic used to capture the work hours of a resource from dynamics?

Thanks in Advance

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

As far as I know, getting available resources runs dynamically based on the rules. In short, it is not defined data, it kind if calculates the available resources based on several rules and configuration.

There is a SDK message available for this purpose:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/microsoft.crm.sdk.messages.queryschedulerequest?view=dynamics-general-ce-9

    Here is a similar thread:

    Hi Wahaj,

Thanks for responding. I'm building my report in power BI. I tried bringing calendar and calendarrule tables following the instruction in the below link.

    www.cloudfronts.com/.../

But couldn't find any information to show the employee status as unavailable on the days they are "non-working" in the work hours. Do you think it is possible to get this information from dynamics for reporting?

    Hi,

As far as I know, these are based on the scheduling rules, that is the reason we have a SDK Request for it.

I guess, it won't work in a report.
