745I had my preferences set to show my report list when opening MR, and after upgrading to CU11, when I open MR it crashes. I have no way to change the settings so that I can use Management Reporter. This is version MR 2012 CU11 running for GP 2010. I could not find a solution anywhere in the community forums or blogs.
Here is what I did to correct the issue:
1. Locate the user.config file. I found mine here:
c:\users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft_Coroporation\ReportDesigner.exe_StrongName.....\2.1.1.0
2. Open the file in notepad
3. Find the following line:
<setting name="UserOptionsAtStartupSelectedIndex" serializeAs="String
<value>2</value>
4. My setting was set to 2 and I changed it to a 3 which opens MR with the 'Show Empty Environment" option
5. I then launched MR and was able to open and use the application without crashing
I just thought this might help someone else since I could not find a solution anywhere.
