Auto underline in marketing email hyperlinks and buttons

Hi - is there a way auto-underlining of hyperlinks can be disabled in marketing email/email templates? We are custom designing a template for wider corporate use and buttons have been styled to appear without underlines. I have tried using the html tag 'text-decoration: none;' to remove the underline but every time a user edits the button, D365 automatically adds back the underline.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

    Please try the following snippet.

    style="text-decoration:none !important; text-decoration:none;"

    Outlook will strip out the style with !important tag leaving the regular style, thus no underline. The !important tag will over rule the web based email clients' default style, thus leaving no underline.

    Thanks Nya. Unfortunately no impact on the template and D365 keeps adding underline regardless.

    Hi,

    Would you please share your HTML?

    Is the underline shown in all the email client?

    It's only Outlook but more than that D365 removes the code "text-decoration: none !important;" every time I try editing the button before sending (text/hyperlink changes). Here's the code I am using:

    <div data-editorblocktype="Button" align="center"><a href="" style="text-align: center; margin-right: auto; margin-left: auto; display: inline-block; background-color: rgb(19, 35, 97); border-radius: 0px; color: rgb(255, 255, 255); width: fit-content; height: auto; max-width: 100%; line-height: normal; font-size: 14px; text-decoration: none !important; text-decoration: none; padding: 5px 7px; border-width: 1px; border-style: none; border-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); mso-hide: none !important;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Learn more</span></a></div>

    Hi,

    I have tested with your code but there is no underline shown in my Outlook client.

    Maybe you can follow the next issue to adjust your HTML.

    Hi,

    I'd like to confirm if the issue still exists.

    It has even less impact unfortunately. While earlier if text-decoration element was added underline won't show in D365 designer unless the link was edited. The element in span style is not even considered unless it has been added via D365 designer.
