I can't get my Workflows to send emails or create records. I have set up a couple of very simple workflows....and they will not execute.
The Workflows are Published.
I am "Working Online" in Outlook.
I am able to send a User a Direct Email from within CRM (Settings, Admin, User.)
I am out of ideas as to what to check next. Or how to check to see if another CRM account/Outlook account user can get Workflows to execute, or is it just me?
Other stuff: When I fire up Outlook, it sometimes doesn't allow CRM to go online. The tool bar is grayed out. My Outlook is unhappy upon start-up that my exchange system is using an undocumented security signature (or soemthig like that.) Anyway, if I say "yes" to both certification questions (ARe yousure you want to connect?) very fast, the CRM is more likely to come online. But every now and the the system IM's me with a message: "CRM is trying to authenticate your credentials by switching authentication methods."
However, I have ditched CRM within Outlook to work directly online, and the problem persists. I cannot get a Wrokflow to execute!

I have the same question (0)I finally figured it out. I used the System Jobs Log....there was some sys job called "MatchCode Update" that has executed every 5 min since the dawn of humanity....and yet for some reason it stopped executing6 days ago at 3AM.
I essentially used this Job as a Watchdog timer to infer that the CRM "engine" or "server" or whatever had jsut stopped running. The sys admin finally got around to checking on it, and he said that the SQL server had failed on login and caused CRM to hang.
The clue was readingthe CRM4 User Guide that said that a Workflow is a SystemJob. One should be able to check in System Jobs and see whether a WorkFlow is executing. But mine weren't even showing up as waiting or failing...
