Deploy Reports in Visual Studio not working

Hi,

We recently moved one Dev machine from MS Hosted to Cloud hosted. In the Cloud hosted dev machine we face strange issue. Deploy report not working from Visual Studio.

I usually deploy reports using Visual Studio. In Visual Studio I select the report and right click > Click Deploy Reports option.

Normally in output window I would see once build is completed the reports will get deployed. For example, like below

Build completed (91798 ms).
Deploy Reports started 12/04/2020 07:12.
Deploying reports to 127.0.0.1:80/ReportServer.

....

In our cloud hosted box when I click Deploy Reports option In output window it stops at Build completed.

The next step Deploy Reports started not coming.

In services.msc, I check the SQL Reporting service. IT is enabled and running. None of my reports are working in our Cloud hosted dev machine. Is there any configuration I need to do?

Hi Manivannan,

Then , have you tried to deploy report through PowerShell?

Get any information for that?

Hi Manivannan,

You can check here for the Powershell commands to deploy reports. When you say none of the reports are working in the cloud environment, are you getting any errors/ messages when running the reports?

I tried PowerShell. Its working. I deployed all the reports.

Now how to do with Visual Studio ?

Hi Manivannan,

Which version of D365 F&O are you on? Also, did run Visual Studio as an admin while deploying the reports?

How long do you wait, sometimes it will be delayed after Build completed.

I use 10.0.14 PU 38. I use VS in Admin mode only

I will not close immediately. In this case the VS still open. It stopped at Build complete stage.

I read in some other blog to change "EnableLUA" to 0 in "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system. Whether it will work ? I am afraid to touch the registry.

Hi Manivannan,

Did you try the Deploy reports option right clicking on the VS project? Please check if that works for you.

When I deploy reports through Visual Studio, It stops at Build completed stage. After that

Deploy Reports started and Deploying reports to 127.0.0.1:80/ReportServer is not happening.

You can try to reset user cache.
